Aadhaar Update
Change name, address, date of birth, mobile, photo or fingerprints in your Aadhaar. Some updates can be done online, others need a visit to an Aadhaar centre.

- Proof of address for address change
- Proof of identity for name change
- Proof of date of birth for DOB change
- Registered mobile number for online updates (OTP)
How to apply
- For address or documents, log in on myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in with Aadhaar and OTP
- Choose the update, enter details and upload the proof
- Note the Update Request Number (URN)
- For mobile, photo, fingerprints or other changes, visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra
- Pay the fee at the centre and collect the acknowledgement slip
- Track status and download the updated e-Aadhaar
Good to know
- Mobile number can only be changed at a centre, not online
- Name can be changed twice and DOB only once without special approval
- Get your child's biometrics updated at 5 and 15, it is free
- Use only uidai.gov.in and myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in, beware of fake update sites

No. Visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra or enrolment centre. The fee is ₹75.
