- Shops and Establishments registration: Not required (fewer than 20 workers). Uttar Pradesh Dookan Aur Vanijya Adhishthan Adhiniyam, 1962 (as amended in 2025). Since 19 Nov 2025 only shops and establishments with 20 or more workers must register; smaller ones are exempt from the Act.
- Professional tax: Not levied in Uttar Pradesh.
- GST registration: needed once turnover crosses ₹40 lakh for goods or ₹20 lakh for services.
