The Federal, SocialNews.XYZ and All India Radio reported on 6 November 2026 that the CAQM Sub-Committee on GRAP invoked Stage 3 of the Graded Response Action Plan across Delhi-NCR with immediate effect. Delhi's air quality index was about 380, in the very poor category, close to the 400 mark for severe.

Stage 3 is added to the actions already running under Stage 1 and Stage 2. The Federal calls it a precautionary step.
