Steps for adding or removing a member
- Open your state portal and choose the member addition or deletion service
- Enter your ration card number and log in with the registered mobile number
- Select the member, upload the proof (birth certificate for a newborn, marriage proof for a spouse, death certificate for a removal) and Aadhaar
- Submit and keep the acknowledgement number
- Check the status and download the updated card after approval
State routes on official pages
- Bihar: log in through Meri Pehchan on the RCMS portal and use the Add Member, Edit and Delete buttons, then submit the annexure.
- Jharkhand: choose the activity (add a member, remove a member or correct a name) in ERCMS, take the acknowledgement number, print the form, attach the card and documents and submit it at the block supply office.
- Delhi: apply on the e-District portal, through a Mobile Sahayak or at the Circle office. Adding a member has a 30 day limit, subject to vacancies (Citizen Charter 2017).
- West Bengal: offline Form 4 adds a member.
- Tamil Nadu: removal of a family member (PDS-504) runs on the e-District portal.
- Andhra Pradesh: Member Addition and Member Deletion in Rice Card are Civil Supplies services at the Village or Ward Secretariat.
- Odisha: member addition is on the pdsodisha.gov.in portal.
- Madhya Pradesh: Ration Mitra has an online application for adding new family members.
