  • Electronic cigarettes and similar devices (heading 8543) are Prohibited for export.

Imports into India

FY 2025-26: US$ 1,04,825 million, +18.3% on 2024-25. Largest sources (US$ million): China (46,365), Hong Kong (10,491), Singapore (6,230), South Korea (5,717).

  • Restricted (21 codes): radio and TV broadcast transmitters, communication jamming equipment, marine radio, satellite apparatus and radar.
  • Prohibited: mobile handsets (heading 8517) without an IMEI number or with an IMEI of all zeroes, and CDMA phones without an ESN or MEID.
