What matters on the Indian side
- DGFT's Appendix 2A lists a tariff rate quota (TRQ) for some imports from the UAE under the CEPA: polyethylene and similar plastics (heads 3901, 3902), PVC (3904), gold bullion and sheets (7108), articles of gold (7113) and copper (7408). The Indian importer follows the TRQ procedure in Annexure IV of Appendix 2A.

- Food exporters (rice, meat, dairy, fruit) register with APEDA and may need a phytosanitary or health certificate.
