Partnership consent letter (authority of partners)
A letter signed by all partners of a firm saying one partner may apply for, sign for and hold a licence on behalf of the firm.

What it is for
Use it when a partnership firm applies for GST, FSSAI, trade licence, drug licence or Shops and Establishments registration and one partner will sign the forms.

Common questions
Does every partner have to sign?
Offices usually want the consent of all partners. If your deed says that one partner can sign for the firm, attach that page of the deed.
Is a partnership consent letter needed for a sole proprietor?
No. A sole proprietor signs for himself or herself.
Is this the same as a board resolution?
No. A board resolution is for a company. For a company, the licence office asks for a copy of the board resolution authorising a director.
